I love when big brothers pretend to not enjoy the attention from their younger siblings. You know he loves his little sister.
Summer in the northeast can be brutal around July and August, hotter than even the southern part of the country. Well, even during this heat, we started early to use the cooler part of the day and still have a bunch of fun with the kids. I love Brookdale park, it’s right by where I live, it’s enormous, and there are just so many areas to explore. We checked out the rose garden for a little bit, explored the flowers and cooled off at the benches. Then we went to the open grass and just let the kids be themselves. I sometimes don’t know how siblings will react with each other, especially during a family photo session, but they were great, and even more so with their parents. I love that it wasn’t just 1 moment, but they would use the time to lean into each other, make faces, and show off some personality.
After the ordering session, we decided it was best to go with the fine art standout options for their portraits, spread out in their home. It’s such a nice, modern, lightweight option. I was so happy to drop these off at their home and see where we’d put them.
