A friend from high school had reached out about her portraits, and we decided to do a combo session so we could always look back on the before and after for their baby boy. I visited upstate NY to photograph them and we’re lucky we did it when we did since she gave birth shortly after the 1st session. It’s always tough to gauge when is the best time to do maternity since you want to be showing well, but you also want to give yourself a leeway for early births. Well, we were able to get both in the cold, winter weather. We even had a little fun with them as they got the bedroom ready for their little boy.
We ended up bringing the family in for the ordering appointment and were able to enjoy a little movie with their photos, and then order a combination of canvas and metal portraits for their homes. You can see below that we had fun with reusing positions to show the before and after for the pregnancy.
